Kalmia ‘Big Boy’ is truly a one-of-a-kind Kalmia. Few garden centers carry this rare plant mainly because it is so new on the market. It has great foliage and a nice light pink flower which opens in May. The unopened buds are a dark pink which stand out nicely against the dark green, glossy leaves.

‘Big Boy’ prefers afternoon shade and protection from hot sun. Plant it in situations as you would Rhododendrons.
